I hope Mr. Gaffigan is on your short list for consideration. He helped the orchestra expand their repertoire and their skill, introduced the audience to "new" music, the program itself brought in diverse attendees, and has operatic conducting skills as well. Enjoyed the performance (and I wasn't sure I would). Thank you.

James Gaffigan really gets romanticism and a Bernstein-caliber sound out of the orchestra. In the post-talk Mr. Gaffigan mentioned his deep appreciation for the courag e of the soloists and they really came through big time. Gaffigan is an engaging speaker with awesome insights. I will never forget this performance. Truly heart warming music.
