SAN DIEGO SYMPHONY FEATURES, REVIEWS AND RELEASES

Thank you to U-T San Diego!
San Diego Symphony extends its gratitude and appreciation to U-T San Diego (formerly The San Diego Union-Tribune) and especially to writer James Chute (and previously Welton Jones and Valerie Scher) for their continued support of the Symphony--past, present and future.  The U-T has been instrumental in helping to raise public awareness and promote the Symphony in so many of its endeavors.  In reaching this centennial milestone, we acknowledge that our success is the result of the effort of many throughout San Diego.  The San Diego media of course has played a pivotal role, but no other media outlet has gone above and beyond the call of duty more than U-T San Diego.  For this, we say thank you to the U-T's staff throughout the years:  its publishers, editors, writers, photographers, designers, administrative staff and those who deliver the newspaper to help to spread the Symphony's message and reinforce our role in the community. And of course when it comes to San Diego media, we offer a world of thanks to the Copley Family, former owners and publishers of U-T San Diego and longtime supporters of the San Diego Symphony.

As the Symphony embarks on the next 100 years, we wish the U-T much success and look forward to a partnership that grows even stronger.  Here's to 100...and beyond!
