Richard Blais' Mashed Rutabaga
1 pound rutabaga
1 stick butter or white truffle butter
Salt & white pepper to taste
Maple syrup (optional)
Peel the rutabaga thoroughly and boil in salted water until fork tender.
Drain the water and add rutabaga back to the same pot.
Mash with a potato masher and incorporate butter, salt, pepper, and maple syrup.
