"Jahja Ling apparently has been waiting 10 years to program Brahms’ Symphony No. 2. He choose a good time to do it, making it the final piece in the final Friday concert of the San Diego Symphony’s 2014-15 Jacobs Masterworks Series at Jacobs Music Center.

The work’s rousing finish is irresistible and it appropriately concluded the beginning of the end of Jahja Ling's very productive tenure with the orchestra."
