About the Concert

Homayoun Shajarian is a renowned Iranian vocalist and musician, celebrated for his contributions to Persian classical music. Born in 1975, he is the son of the legendary maestro Mohammad-Reza Shajarian. Homayoun has mastered traditional Persian singing and is a virtuoso of the tombak and kamancheh, which he learned under his father's mentorship. His vocal style combines technical precision with emotional depth, making him a modern torchbearer of Iran’s rich musical heritage. He has collaborated with distinguished musicians and composers, and his performances have drawn international acclaim.

Anoushiravan Rohani is an iconic Iranian composer and pianist, recognized for his prolific career in Persian popular and classical music. Born in 1939, Rohani comes from a musically gifted family. His compositions, which blend Persian folk melodies with Western classical influences, have become timeless pieces in Iranian music. One of his most famous works is "Soltan-e Ghalbha" (King of Hearts), a beloved song across generations. Rohani’s mastery of the piano and his innovative compositions have earned him widespread admiration in Iran and abroad. He continues to influence Iranian music with his deep understanding of harmony and melody.
