Yefim Bronfman Performs Brahms
RESPIGHI: Suite I from Ancient Airs and Dances
SIBELIUS: Symphony No. 7 in C Major, Op. 105
BRAHMS: Piano Concerto No. 1 in D minor, Op. 15
Please join us 45 minutes before the concert for "What's the Score?", a lively talk about the composers and the repertoire given by commentator Nuvi Mehta from the stage of Copley Symphony Hall.
You’ll be moved by Jean Sibelius’ Seventh Symphony: a single symphonic movement of profound majesty and drama that shows the composer at the height of his expressive powers. The evening continues as one of the world’s greatest pianists, Yefim Bronfman, joins us for one of history’s most epic pieces — Johannes Brahms’ monumental and heart-stirring first piano concerto.
