BEETHOVEN: Overture to Egmont, Op. 84
BEETHOVEN: Symphony No. 4 in B-flat Major, Op. 60
BEETHOVEN: Symphony No. 6 in F Major, Op. 68: Pastoral

In 2020, the world will celebrate Beethoven’s 250th birthday. As part of the Philharmonic Society's Beethoven@250 celebration, Dutch conductor Edo de Waart leads the San Diego Symphony in an all-Beethoven program. The powerful and expressive Egmont Overture, with its thrilling climactic endings, acts as a foil to his Sixth Symphony (Pastoral), with its buoyant and lighthearted melody taking listeners on a journey through the Viennese countryside.

This concert is presented by the Philharmonic Society of Orange County.
