From the iconic "Hedwig’s Theme" that transports you to the wizarding world, to the haunting Danse macabre and the dazzling finale of Stravinsky’s The Firebird Suite, this concert is full of excitement and wonder. Anna Clyne’s lively Masquerade adds a festive twist to the spooky season fun. 

Family Concerts are recommended for children ages 6-12, and are fun for adults, too!

Vienna Boys Choir - Christmas in Vienna

The Vienna Boys Choir, an illustrious ensemble of young musicians, has delighted music lovers around the globe for six centuries with its purity of tone, distinctive charm, and popular repertoire. This enormously popular chorus is composed of four touring choirs representing dozens of nations and together presents more than 300 concerts each year worldwide. Christmas in Vienna showcases these gifted musicians—whose voices possess unforgettable beauty—in an extraordinary program featuring Austrian folk songs, classical masterpieces, popular tunes, and, of course, holiday favorites.

Featuring a San Diego Symphony Orchestra Brass Quintet

Feel the holiday spirit in this festive musical celebration! Our brass section will bring the beloved poem "'Twas the Night Before Christmas" to life with sparkling fanfares, warm tones and holiday cheer. Perfect for young listeners, this performance is a cozy, jolly way to kick off the season together.

Symphony Kids concerts are designed for children ages 0-5.

Mariachi Los Camperos returns to The Rady Shell at Jacobs Park to kick off the holiday season with Fiesta Navidad, a concert featuring all your favorite seasonal songs with Ballet Folclórico Chiquina Palafox.

The Holiday, from Universal Pictures, stars Cameron Diaz, Kate Winslet, Jude Law and Jack Black, and tells the story of how two women who have never met and live 6,000 miles apart find themselves in the same exact place.

A true holiday favorite, this beloved comedy classic features renowned composer John Williams' charming and delightful score performed live to picture by the San Diego Symphony Orchestra.

Macaulay Culkin stars as Kevin McCallister, an 8-year-old boy who's accidentally left behind when his family leaves for Christmas vacation, and who must defend his home against two bungling thieves. Hilarious and heart-warming, Home Alone is holiday fun for the entire family!

San Diego Symphony's holiday tradition, Noel Noel, returns outdoors to The Rady Shell at Jacobs Park. Featuring favorite songs, Christmas classics, sing-alongs and holiday cheer.

The concert will be led by celebrated guest conductor Christopher Dragon and director Jonathan Gilmer, and features Radio City Music Hall singer Devin DeSantis, the return of the San Diego Symphony Orchestra, the San Diego Master Chorale and the San Diego Children’s Choir.
