San Diego Symphony Offers Free Tickets to Federal Employees Impacted by the Government Shutdown

Starting today, the San Diego Symphony is offering free concert tickets to federal employees who are impacted by the government shutdown. Federal employees, with current government ID, can receive up to four complimentary tickets for any San Diego Symphony Jacobs Masterworks program between now and the end of the 2018-19 season, May 26.

President and CEO of the San Diego Symphony Martha Gilmer says, “Music has the power to lift the spirits. The Symphony can offer a few hours of beauty, pleasure and hope to the many individuals and families in our community facing hardships as a result of the shutdown.”

Those eligible may reserve available tickets by phone (619) 235-0804 or in person at the box office at Copley Symphony Hall, Jacobs Music Center in downtown San Diego. The Joshua Bell concert on April 14 is excluded from the offer due to limited availability.
