"Simply stated, the orchestra was at its best. Ling’s pacing of the piece by the early 20th century Spanish composer was masterful. But more importantly, the tone of the piece was exactly right. It was just light enough to allow it to dance and to show off the score’s myriad colors and the fine contributions by the orchestra’s principal players..."
