 ANNOUNCING...JACOBS MASTERWORKS SEASON 2014-2015!

The San Diego Symphony's Jacobs Masterworks Season 2014-2015 builds on the momentum of the Symphony's recent triumphant Carnegie Hall and China Tour to present a wide variety of enduring classics led by music director Jahja Ling. Among the composers represented this season are: Felix Mendelssohn (Scottish Symphony), Antonín Dvořák (Symphony No. 7), Dmitri Shostakovich (Symphony No. 10), Aram Khachaturian (Violin Concerto), Piotr Tchaikovsky (Variations on a Rococo Theme), Leonard Bernstein (Three Dance Episodes from On the Town), Sergei Rachmaninoff (Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini), Johannes Brahms (Symphony No. 2), Gustav Mahler (Symphony No. 7), Carl Orff (Carmina burana) and Franz Schubert (The Great C Major Symphony). We are also hosting a two week residency by famed conductor and violinist Pinchas Zukerman, who will conduct and perform music of Ludwig van Beethoven, Richard Strauss and Johann Sebastian Bach.

An international array of guest artists will be visiting the Jacobs Music Center in the 2014-2015 season, including recent Van Cliburn Gold Medalist Vadym Kholodenko, rising piano sensation Lola Astanova, cellist Alban Gerhardt, one of our audience favorites violinist Gil Shaham, internationally esteemed British conductor Sir Neville Marriner, pianist Richard Goode, violinist Ray Chen and distinguished pianists Louis Lortie and Stephen Hough.

See the full Jacobs Masterworks Season Subscription Brochure and Order Form PDF! And here is a Seating Chart!
