Seniors, Military (with ID) and Student (with ID) $3 off discounts are available via phone and window sales only (no web), and can be applied to most seats. These discounts are valid in the Grandstand, Cabaret I and Cabaret II sections at the Embarcadero. Family Packs and ongoing Corporate discounting offers must also be processed directly though the Ticket Office window and phones.

ASHFORD UNIVERSITY SUMMER POPS 2013!

The Ashford University Summer Pops is San Diego Symphony's annual outdoor summer concert series. The concerts are performed on a stage we construct each year at Embarcadero Marina Park South, on San Diego Bay right behind the San Diego Convention Center. Seating options include cabaret tables, grandstand seating (fold-down chairs) and general admission lawn seating. 

Summer Pops is 10 weeks of concerts from just before 4th of July through Labor Day, all featuring the San Diego Symphony and some of today's hottest pop acts. This year's Summer Pops performers include En Vogue, Amy Grant, Michael Bolton, Ozomatli, Nathan Pacheco, Debbie GibsonBurt Bacharach and more!. We'll also have some very hot tributes to The Rolling Stones, The Bee Gees and the Music of PixarOur Principal Summer Pops conductor is Matthew Garbutt.

Ashford University Summer Pops concerts begin, unless otherwise noted, at 7:30pm, with gates opening at 6pm. Subscription concerts are on Friday and Saturday nights, and occasional Special concerts are on Thursdays and Sundays.

Get Down Tonight! Relive the days of disco with KC and the Sunshine Band at our sixth annual Tux ‘N Tennies Summer Bash. Celebrate the Fourth of July at San Diego’s favorite holiday salute. Bill Conti, our new principal pops conductor, famed Rocky composer and Oscar® and five-time Emmy® Award-winner, leads the way. It’ll be a patriotic extravaganza with all-American hits from Main Street to Broadway, complete with John Philip Sousa marches, a tribute to the military and a spectacular fireworks display to light up the sky!


MUSIC OF THE BEE GEES: Saturday Night Fever ♠ Δ ♥

The Bee Gees achieved worldwide fame with a string of top 10 hits in the ‘60s and ‘70s and led an international disco revolution with Saturday Night Fever. POPS GOES CLASSICAL - PASSPORT TO THE WORLD: A Night On The Blue Danube

It’ll be a European holiday as you sail along the Danube to the musical capital of the world – Vienna, Austria. Then, it’s onto the 18th century birthplace of Mozart – Salzburg. Enjoy light classical favorites from Viennese Masters such as Johann Strauss’ The Blue Danube. BROADWAY TONIGHT: Les Misérables and more! ♠ ♦ ♥

OZOMATLI: Salsa – Samba – Dancehall – Funk €

Back by popular demand, Latin band sensation Ozomatli will “raise the roof” at the Embarcadero once more! Their music is an urban-Latino-and-beyond collision of merengue and cumbia, hip hop and salsa, samba and funk. By the end of the night, these Los Angeles Culture-mashers will have you out of your seats and dancing in the aisles.

Celebrate your Labor Day Weekend with family, friends and the San Diego Symphony! It’s our spectacular, crowd-pleasing finale: Tchaikovsky’s thunderous 1812 Overture! Brilliant young violinist Fumiaki Miura performs Tchaikovsky’s exciting Valse-scherzo on this soaring evening complete with booming cannons and fireworks over San Diego Bay.
