WINTER POPS SEASON 2011-2012!
The Celebration continues! The Symphony's very exciting Winter Pops Season 2011-2012 lineup brings the finest in Pops music entertainment, plus an intriguing lineup of performance events from around the globe. The Winter Pops season consists of six separate subscription concerts (three of which are conducted by Principal Pops Conductor Marvin Hamlisch) and eight Winter Pops Special Concerts. (The Symphony does not perform on these Special Concert events.)
This year, enjoy a great lineup of artists such as Chicago’s Peter Cetera, plus tributes to The Bee Gees and the legendary Ray Charles. As always, you can count on Holiday Pops, San Diego’s favorite holiday music tradition.
Winter Pops will also present sensational Dreamgirl Jennifer Holliday, and Bravo Broadway leading man Hugh Panaro for a very special Valentine Romance show. The season will also feature incredible dance performances such as our Ballroom with a Twist program conceived by Dancing with the Stars’ director Louis van Amstel. Other dance shows include Compaña Flamenco, Ballet Folklórico de Colombia and two special evenings with the world-acclaimed Moscow Festival Ballet!
Winter Pops subscription concerts are performed Friday and Saturday nights at 8pm. Check days, dates and times for all Winter Pops Special Concerts.
