Tzu-Wei Jack Huang

Tzu-Wei Jack Huang made his concerto debut with the Jenaer Philharmonie at the Neue Weimarhalle in Germany, and he has appeared as Guest Principal Cellist with the Taiwan Philharmonic/National Symphony Orchestra, performing at the National Concert Hall in Taipei and National Kaohsiung Center for the Arts–Weiwuying. He also performs regularly with Taiwan Connection, a chamber orchestra comprising leading musicians from Taiwan and abroad. He joined the San Diego Symphony Orchestra in 2025.

Mr. Huang has appeared at major festivals including the Music Academy of the West, Taos School of Music, Bowdoin International Music Festival, and the International Summer Academy at Mozarteum University in Salzburg. A dedicated chamber musician, he is a founding member of the Morningside Heights Ensemble and Trio Astralis, prize-winning chamber groups active in the United States and Taiwan. His collaborations have included performances with distinguished artists such as Nai-Yuan Hu, Gary Hoffman, Paul Neubauer, Andrew Bain, Patrick Jee and Scott Lee.

Mr. Huang earned his Bachelor of Music from the Manhattan School of Music studying with Philippe Muller, his Master of Music from The Juilliard School under Richard Aaron, and his Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the Manhattan School of Music under Julia Lichten.

Beyond the concert stage, Jack Huang is an avid fan of anime and board games and enjoys exploring global cuisines and cooking.
