Paul Klintworth works in Southern California as a freelance musician, educator, brass repair technician and broadcast camera operator. Paul is delighted to be playing this season with the San Diego Symphony!
Paul records for film and TV in Hollywood and performs with groups like the San Diego Symphony, LA Philharmonic and the Music Center of LA’s educational outreach quintet, Brass Pacifica. He’s collaborated with artists such as John Williams, Paul McCartney and Billie Eilish, and has embarrassed his kids by playing the alpenhorn in a Wienerschnitzel TV commercial.
In broadcasting, he’s worked as a jib and Spidercam technician for ESPN, ABC, NBC and other major networks, as well as complete seasons for Monday Night Football and concerts at The Rady Shell. He also operates his own camera-jib for clients across the region. In addition, Paul owns a brass instrument repair business that will start manufacturing custom French horns in the near future.
Paul Klintworth holds a degree from USC and certifications from CIOMIT and Spidercam US. He met his wife while living in Japan during university, and he is the proud father of three sons.
