Francesca Fetten began her violin studies on the violin at the age of three in Long Island, NY, where she was born and raised. Francesca continued her studies with Oleh Krysa at the Eastman School of Music Preparatory Program in Rochester, New York when she moved there at age eight. Francesca has earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Oberlin Conservatory under the tutelage of Marilyn McDonald, and a Master’s degree from Rice University’s Shepherd School of Music on full scholarship under the tutelage of Kathleen Winkler. She was the recipient of the Michael P. Hammond Preparatory Program Scholarship in which she coached chamber groups to students ranging from elementary school age to high school/ precollege age. Francesca resides in Southern California and enjoys her time as a freelance musician who frequently performs with the San Diego Symphony as well as the Pacific Symphony. In addition to performing with orchestras, Francesca loves curating recital programs, surfing and cooking.
