Elyse Lauzon joined the San Diego Symphony as 2nd horn in Fall 2020. Prior to this, she was in the Pacific Symphony and the Sarasota Orchestra. Ms. Lauzon is a former member of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago and has also performed with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Philadelphia Orchestra, Los Angeles Philharmonic and Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. She has attended several music festivals including the Cabrillo Festival of Contemporary Music in Santa Cruz, St. Barths in the French West Indies, as well as Tanglewood, Aspen and Music Academy of the West. Ms. Lauzon attended Northwestern University for her Master of Music degree, and she also earned a Professional Studies Certificate and Bachelor of Music degree from The Colburn Conservatory of Music in Los Angeles. Ms. Lauzon’s former teachers include Andrew Bain, Gail Williams, Jon Boen, David Krehbiel and Erik Ralske.
