San Diego Symphony Returns to Carnegie Hall for the first Time in a decade

Tomorrow evening the San Diego Symphony is making its return to Carnegie Hall for the first time in ten years! To mark this momentous event, the Symphony will be performing an exciting program consisting of a new San Diego Symphony commission, Wake Up by Carlos Simon, Dvorak's Cello Concerto in B Minor with soloist Alisa Weilerstein, and Shostokovich's iconic Symphony No. 5. For many of the musicians, this will the second time on the Carnegie Hall stage with the San Diego Symphony, for others it will be the first time inside the venue.

The local San Diego Symphony community has also shown support with numerous donors, artistic and civic partners and classical music lovers making the journey to Carnegie Hall as well for the historic performance. Partners and family members of musicians will be making the journey too! For a closer look into our journey to Carnegie Hall, please follow the San Diego Symphony on our social media at www.sandiegosymphony.org. See live updates and stories and interact with the musicians as they look forward to representing America's Finest City in the Big Apple tomorrow evening.
