HornMike McCoy

Mike McCoy is a San Diego native who plays 4th horn with the Las Vegas Philharmonic and is the Artist Teacher of Horn at San Diego State University and Point Loma Nazarene University as well as acting 2nd horn for this season with the San Diego Symphony. He is also active in the recording studios, recording for movies, TV and video games as well as backing up celebrity albums. In 2006 he was the founding horn player for the Presidio Brass, an internationally-touring brass quintet until he resigned in 2015. When Mr. McCoy is not rehearsing and performing for various groups he spends his time coaching the horn sections of local high schools and teaching in his private studio. He enjoys spending time with his Great Danes at the beach.
