Friday, April 3, 2015
Earlier this year, U-T San Diego science writer Gary Robbins and photojournalist Peggy Peattie began research for today’s special section: The Wonders Of Your Brain, a 52-page supplement exploring how the brain affects our five senses and just to name other topics: the nature of science, the arts, mind over matter and the evolution of aging—from birth to teenage years to young adults to middle age and seniors.
San Diego Symphony was the only arts organization that participated in this feature—the most fascinating of topics. Music director Jahja Ling was interviewed, and he along with the
Symphony were videotaped for their part in “How sweet the sound.” Jahja and the Symphony were in esteemed company as notables throughout San Diego County were also interviewed including Dr. William Brody, president of the Salk Institute for Biological Studies, Gail Lake, program specialist for college, career and technical education - San Diego Unified School District, and Cris Dobrosielski, surfer, author, motivational speaker and expert on fitness development and injury prevention. Please click onto the links below to see this entire special section and the Symphony’s feature. The San Diego Symphony is also featured in the attached PDF.
